My mama’s Rice Krispie treats

From the home of: Emma Switzer

Notes: literally the box recipe but add 2 cups crunchy peanut butter (skippy or jif - we are a skippy family) - my mom always made these in the summer and I would INHALE them

Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons margarine or butter

2 cups crunchy peanut butter (something like skippy)

1 package (10 oz, around 40) regular marshmallows of 4 cups miniature marshmallows

6 cups rice krispies cereal

Process:

1. Melt butter or margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Mix in the peanut butter. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S® RICE KRISPIES® cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.
